If you're ready to jump on board and start using Uplift, you may have one lingering question.

How long does it actually take for me to get up and running for this Sunday?

We timed ourselves and we'll tell you how long it took us.

But first, we should explain the process.

From Zero to Sunday

Let's walk you through how to get started and get Sunday-ready.

Start for Free

You can start for free by going to https://go.tryuplift.app. It's just that simple.

You don't need to make an account or provide any payment info. We made it just that simple because we want to give you a chance to try it risk-free.

Once you're there, you'll be in the Library.

Plan Your Service

Hop on over to the Plan page and add your first set list.

Just provide a date and time, and then you can start adding service items.

Since you don't have any songs in your Library (we'll change that in a minute), you can enter just placeholders for your songs.

Enter Chord Sheets

Once you've got your set list created, hop on over to the Library and start adding the songs you've planned.

You can import from ChordPro and PDF to speed things up, but we prefer to enter songs manually and produce the highest quality chord charts for us and our team.

Click the Add Song button and enter basic details like title, key, tempo, time signature, and copyright information.

Once you're in the song editor, you can add an intro, the verses, chorus, and any other section.

The Performance tab allows you to arrange and enter the chord sheet view, seeing exactly what you'll get.

The Presentation tab allows you to break lyrical lines so all lyrics fit within the presentation area.

Finally, the Timing tab allows you to time chords, line beginnings, and line breaks so that your music and presentation will scroll in real time.

Song Editing Tips

We have a few tips on song editing in terms of order. We find the most efficient way to enter songs is in this order:

1. Add your first section (a verse perhaps) with lyrics and chords.

2. Go to the Timing tab and time all chords and line beginnings.

3. Go back to the Performance tab and duplicate that section. For instance, if your second verse matches the first verse, this saves you from entering all that timing info again!

4. Once you've entered all sections, go to the Presentation tab and break any overflowing lines.

5. Finally, time any line breaks in the Timing tab.

If you follow this general process, song entry becomes a breeze.

Adding Your Songs to Your Plan

Once you've got your songs entered, you can go back to the Plan page and replace your placeholders with their actual songs in the plan.

Signing Up and Upgrading

Signing up and upgrading to the paid version is really easy.

Click the Sign In button and enter your email address.

Then you can enter your full name.

We'll send you an email with a 6-digit code for authentication.

After that, you can optionally add a Passkey to make signing in even faster!

Then, you'll be taken to a subscription screen that allows you to customize your subscription:

1. Whether this will be used by you personally, or if you're subscribing on behalf of your organization.

2. If you want to be billed monthly or annually.

3. How many seats you want on your plan (to allow inviting team members).

After confirming these details, then we'll take you to our secure checkout. Once you subscribe, then we'll take you back to Uplift, ready to sync your songs.

Syncing Your Library

If you've made it this far, first thank you and congratulations on upgrading! We're so excited you're on board!

It's super simple after this point. You'll be met with a dialog asking if you want to sync the songs you created when on the free version.

Just select which ones you want and they will be added to your Library.

Same with the Plan page.

Adding Team Members

If you've purchased additional seats, you can head to your account settings by clicking on your profile image and clicking Account Settings.

Go to the Billing tab and invite your team.

Just enter their email address they want to use and have them sign up.

When they get to the subscription screen, they'll see your invite and all they have to do is accept it.

Just be sure the email you put down to invite them matches the email they signed up with.

Sharing Your Set List

You can head over to your plan, and you should see a Share button now.

This allows you to share the set list with your team by using the email addresses their accounts are registered with.

They'll be able to see your plan, perform it, and present it.

So Really, How Long Does It Take?

So that in a nutshell is really all it takes to get started from zero to Sunday-ready with Uplift. And it took us only 55 minutes! That's it.

Of course, it may take you a little longer to account for the time needed to figure out how to use Uplift and get acclimated to the interface. But we've made it super easy and intuitive.

If you're on the fence and thinking about making the switch, we've made that easy too. Just start for free and enter your first set list.

And after you've tried it out and like it, you can upgrade and start using Uplift with your whole team.

We'll be happy you're on board!
